Hey Lynsey here, so I thought I would give you a little insight into why I decided to rebrand my business, change my name and bring on a partner.
Firstly, I wanted to incorporate a more fun approach to fitness because let’s be honest, there are enough serious sides to life as a mum. I talk about a lot of serious issues affecting many mums and sometimes there is a lot of fear surrounding getting back to exercise. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can get you moving again and having fun. I feel this new name fits this narrative a lot more appropriately than Strong Like a Mother.
I also feel that this name is in keeping with community we are trying to build of Mighty Mamas there to support each other through what can often be a lonely and confusing time. I meant everything I said in my post back in May about the strength of a mother. But it really does take a village and we want to be that village for many mums and families out there.
So now you know that I have decided to rebrand the company with my new name and the new logo. I hope you like it.
Now the reason behind my decision to let go of my 4th baby a little bit and bring on someone to help me create my vision.
I love my job and I want to make an impact on as many mums in Scotland as I can but as a mum of 3 young children and wife I cannot do this without losing out on a lot of time with my family.
So the only solution to this problem was to partner up with a fellow mum who is as passionate about creating a positive community for mums as I am. The yin to my yang, Glinda to my Elphaba, the Brooke to my Peyton, the Sookie to my Lorelai (enough tv and show references for ya?). This is exactly why I chose the lovely Katie from @mama_says_blog to be my new business partner
If you don’t know Katie then let me tell you I couldn’t think of a better person to bring into my business to help create an inclusive and positive community for the mums in Scotland. If you do know Katie then you know why she is the right person for the job.
Hi, Katie here. I just wanted to give you an insight into my reasons for being here
Serendipity is not only a favourite film of mine (yes more pop culture references for you!), it is also something I truly believe in. Why else would I be left in unemployment for so long and feeling pretty lost with myself only to be given the opportunity to join someone who has become an incredible friend and work together to grow a business and community based on our mutual beliefs?
Even before becoming partners, meeting for lunch and bouncing around blog and business ideas was something we did regularly so it really all fell into place when we chose to make that next step.
Not only is this Mighty Mama business a chance to direct my career in a path that suits me and my family, it is also something that has reignited my creativity and passion for what I do work wise and I can’t wait to go on this adventure with Lynsey and you all.
